Healthy, luxurious, satisfying and so so simple. To me that's what a quickie dessert should be.
Last night when I came home from participating in the reading of a profound play that is in its refining process, I was still wanting something. I had just purchased some raw cream and strawberries and blueberries and viola -- the makings of a fabulous desert. I also like a bit of sweet -- so I used palm sugar across the top. I love this sugar -- it's low glycemic, and it has a mapley taste that adds its own flavor. And, You don't need a lot of cream.
No cream? Use plain yogurt, or kefir. Make it breakfast instead of desert. Add some crispy almonds. Yum! Or as my best friend Charlotte would say, NUM!
For each serving:
4 or 5 strawberries sliced
handful of blueberries
2 tablespoons cream
1 tablespoon palm sugar sprinkled over the top.
