Lately, I've been working with Culture Club 101 and Elaina Luther on the Third Annual Real Food Symposium that will be held at the Sheraton, Pasadena on May 6 from 9 am to 7 pm. Being involved in the coordination and plans that are part of bringing an event into fruition is one of those things that I love. A combination of speakers and workshops, this event is going to have something for every taste from home beer brewing to cheese making, from the GAPS Diet to the art of Beekeeping. If you are anywhere in the area I urge you to attend. You can register here.
Speakers will include Anna Hammalian. The GAPS Diet, Mark McAfee, Sharing the Secret of Raw Milk, Nysha Dahlgren on Growing it Forward and Backyard Beekeepers on The Art of Beekeeping. (For Speaker info and bios, go here.)
Home Beer Brewing (Dr. Dan Berisford), Kombucha Brewing (Hannah Krum), GAPS Style Cooking (Monica Ford), Grass-Fed Beef on a Budget (John de Bruin) and Fresh Raw Milk Cheese Making for the Home Kitchen (Mariposa Creamery) will make up the workshops.
But, wait, that's not all, included in the $120.00 price is a "real" food lunch, over a dozen "real" food vendors and free delicous food sampling all day. I'm going to be there and I want to see you there, too.
