In case you haven't noticed, food is very important to me. It has been for most of my life. Right now I spend a lot of my time talking about what you CAN'T or SHOULDN't eat. I often speak about how toxic and inflamatory commercial wheat is to our bodies and especially our brains. How starcy additives in gluten free baking (read, potato starch, corn starch, tapioca starch, rice flour) do the same with respect to inflamation in the brain and some nuerologists believe can lead to alzheimer's.
I spent a week a Unity Village for Spiritual Education and Enrichment and stayed gluten and grain free all the while looking longingly at the biscuits and sausage gravy. So right now I'm working on a biscuit recipe that's good for our bodies and brains. I've experimented with a lot of different foods, and food focuses in my life and the question has always been, What can I eat? And what can I make that is delicious, satisfying and enjoyable. Thus, my gluten free baking business 9is called ENJOY Gluten Free.
What can you eat for optimal brain, thyroid and gut health? That's what I'll be addressing in my upcoming healing foods class. Come, ENJOY. I'll have lots of things to taste.
